S-Z 12:45pm
All citizens should have registered before 1:45pm.

You may not leave dorms once you are registered. Leaving could jeopardize your
attendance for the session. Registration is held indoors but you will line up in the patio
area and along walkways. Long lines in the sun are possible, so please plan accordingly.
Have patience. Girls traveling together will wait until their assigned time of registration.
Lost key charge is $75.00. If for any reason you are unable to attend, please contact
the Director as soon as possible. Alternates will be used as replacements.

Health Cards
Health card must be completed within the 2 weeks prior to Girls State by your health
care provider. Prior physicals for sports are NOT acceptable. Current physical condition
is a MUST. You will need to attach a copy of your Health Insurance Policy Number or Card
if insured.


Mail at Girls State
You may receive mail while you are attending Girls State from outside family and friends.
No outside food is to be sent to you at anytime.

Visitors
Due to increased security at the University of Arizona ONLY registered delegates will be
permitted on City Floors. Parents/Guardians, family or friends WILL NOT BE ABLE TO
ASSIST with luggage to floors or help move delegates into assigned rooms. The same
applies for check out as well as during session. There are to be NO VISITORS during the
session without prior approval from the Director.


What to bring
When packing remember you will be living with another girl in your room, and sharing a
bathroom with the next room of two girls, thus storage space could be limited..

BE SURE TO BRING: twin sheets, a pillow, blanket or you may want to bring a sleeping bag.
Towels, washcloths, feminine items. Proper dress attire such as school clothing (please
see rules for dress code). Bring a nice dress or pant suit for the Magical Evening.

WORKING MATERIALS... You might wish to bring a laptop with printer or typewriter, a
calculator and small musical instrument for Glee Club. Backpacks are optional. Cell phones
and Ipods are welcome however there are rules and regulations for use, see your packet
for details.

Vending machines are located in each basement or you may bring personal food items.
There are small refrigerators in the rooms. Food delivery is not permitted from home or
outside establishments. Water bottles will be sold in the Girls State store during session.


Girl State Store and Bank
Items for sale in the store will be stamps, note paper, film, personal comfort items, water,
cards, flowers and stuffed animals for a start. You can also purchase Girls State T-shirts,
bumper sticker, charms, boxers and other misc. items. The Girls State Bank will be available
for depositing your money for safekeeping when registering. You may withdraw your
money whenever you need it during Bank and Store hours. Bankers are bonded.


City Picture
Your City picture will be available for $10.00 (formal 8x10) and $1.50 (funny 4x6) for
each type of picture. Keep this amount out of your bank deposit as it will be collected
on Monday evening.

Transportation
Each citizen is responsible for getting to and from Girls State. Please map out your
drive to and from ahead of time just incase there is construction or delays. Use google
or map quest for help. All girls driving must register as a driver and have paid for a permit.
